4. THE FSU FLYING HIGH CIRCUS
About us– Founded in 1947 by Jack Haskin, the Florida State University “Flying High” Circus is an extra-curricular activity under the Division of Student Affairs. This program was created to integrate men and women when FSU became a co-ed institution and is still an activity for male and female students to participate in jointly. The only requirement to be a member of the FSU Circus is that one must be a degree-seeking student registered at Florida State University.

About us-My name is John Dial and I’m a full time, year round, resident of the Sarasota area. I love the hot steamy summers here. But then I’ve always loved summer anywhere I’ve lived. About us-The Circus Ring of Fame recognizes those persons who have made a significant contribution to the art and culture of the circus over the span of a career. With over 140 inductees from around the world, the Ring of Fame began in 1988 as a way to honor world famous circus performers and the rich circus heritage of the Sarasota area. Each year, Ring of Fame honorees are nominated by the public and voted on by former inductees, historians, scholars and knowledgeable members of the global circus community.
