About Us – The Food Science and Human Nutrition Department (FSHN) is one of the world’s largest combined academic programs where food science, nutritional sciences, and dietetics are all studied within one department. FSHN has nearly 30 full-time faculty members, 80 graduate assistants, and 600 undergraduate students. Our programs are accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and approved by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT).
Services – Dietetics is a challenging profession that applies the science of food and nutrition to the health and well-being of individuals and groups. The Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) at the University of Florida meets the Standards of Education set forth by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

Services – Before and/or afterschool programs are available at middle schools through community partnerships. Most elementary schools offer an Extended Day Enrichment Program operated by Orange County Public Schools. Some elementary programs are operated by RFP selected out-sourced providers.The Extended Day Enrichment Program offers supervision and a variety of enrichment activities for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. The program is fee-supported by those using its services. Daily activities include homework time, structured supervised free play, art, drama, crafts, music, dance and organized team games.

About Us – Welcome to UCF’s new College of Health Professions and Sciences.
