About Us – You are most likely checking out Gateway because you have a boy in crisis. Gateway is designed specifically for that kind of boy. Boys with out-of-control behaviors pose a frightening dilemma for parents. Most parents who contact us have tried counseling and homeschooling, but the behaviors continue (and continue to get more dangerous). About Us – Welcome fellow Patriots! Joseph Stilwell Military Academy of Leadership, known informally as JSMAL, is a public magnet middle school home to 750 middle school cadets in grades 6-8. As the name of the school implies, we are a military-themed middle school. General Joseph Stilwell was a highly decorated soldier and a graduate of West Point.
